Japanese Homestay

1st August 2007

This year our school was once again a part of the International Education Short Term Visit Program. Early in Term 3, nine Japanese students were home hosted by nine Moonta families. The visitors were part of a larger contingent from Meidai High School on the edge of Tokyo. Others from their group stayed with families in Kadina, Clare and Balaklava. The students came for ten days to improve their conversational English and to learn more about Australian life.

This visit has also enriched the Japanese program in our school with an added bonus for Moonta students to have the opportunity to practise speaking Japanese with the visitors

The Japaense students and thier Moonta buddies all enjoyed the experience.
